The Comfort Search enables, by its integrated Help function, fast and uncomplicated results, which can be filtered, highlighted, commented on or enriched with additional information at will. The documents run automatically along with the search queries. Daily tasks are completed in less time!
The Expert Search gives the researcher the freedom to efficiently design the search queries with the fields, the syntax and the capabilities of the system of the respective Office. Absolute transparency, repeatability and official data – plus the whole comfort of the PATselect 4.0 System.
This eliminates time-consuming compilation of search queries within a field-driven or fixed search setting.
Highlight – Rate – Comment
Benefit from individual colour markers (advanced highlighting) for your important keywords. Find the right places in documents efficiently and quickly when viewing results.
Quickly rate documents by relevance and retrieve rated documents again. Customize records with comments, ratings and categories / tags (matter id) and view and share with all users / user groups within a company.
Document View – Export – Analysis – Statistics
PATselect 4.0 features an exceptionally clear presentation of results, including all drawings, and allows you to scroll through search results very quickly. There is no need to click on individual results separately. Extensive links to additional external information round off the results.

With an extensive Wiki, we explain all functionalities with search and input examples. An FAQ list addresses important questions, and in the event of new features or adjustments in PATselect 4.0, we can update the Wiki on a daily basis.
The Serviva team is available to you during office hours with guaranteed support and for your questions regarding PATselect 4.0. If you are interested, we offer individual, digital in-house training for the database.
Furthermore, there is a range of integration options with other Serviva services, e.g., the creation of monitoring search profiles; results of commissioned searches can be tagged in PATselect 4.0 and displayed or further processed there.

Serviva has introduced the AI functionality as an optional feature. What are the benefits for you?
- You can continue using PATselect 4.0 as a standalone solution with our familiar, cost-effective pricing structure, without the AI features.
- Use the AI functionality on demand, avoiding high ongoing costs. You can deposit a starting balance of €200 or more for your company license (AI account) and easily top it up as needed.
- AI usage fees are displayed transparently. Before running any AI request, you can see exactly how much it will cost and check your current AI account balance. The more efficiently you prompt the AI, the more cost-effective it is.
For internal or non-commercial use, we offer the monitoring modules 1-3, depending on how many monitoring profiles you need. If you would like to create more than 10 profiles, we will be happy to provide you with an offer or answer your questions by telephone on 030 / 88 77 1300 or by e-mail.
Competitor and Technology Monitoring
Do you want to independently carry out smaller-scale competitor and technology monitoring in the main authorities DE, EP, WO, and US? Then the “Monitoring” add-on module in PATselect 4.0 is exactly right for you.
The regular monitoring of specific classes and/or competitors, often in selected countries, is necessary to ensure that one’s own intellectual property rights are not infringed by other competitors, or that you as a company do not infringe the intellectual property rights of other companies. In addition, patent monitoring informs about the latest publications in your own product environment, and thus supports activities in research and development.
The supplementary Monitoring module in PATselect 4.0 allows the creation of monitoring profiles in self-selected countries. A corresponding search run is automatically started weekly (the day can be chosen individually) and the new publications are displayed within the database. Here they can be provided with content-related comments, tags (labels), and relevance indicators.
Additionally, the overview of the results is optionally sent as an e-mail. The Monitoring module can be activated for a fee within PATselect 4.0.
If you have one or more extensive competitor and technology monitorings and do not want to carry them out yourself, we will gladly take this over with our Patent Monitoring service
