With the publication in the Federal Gazette, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) has launched a new funding phase of its funding programme “WIPANO – Knowledge and Technology Transfer through Patents and Standards” for the years 2024-2027.

The WIPANO programme supports the use of the creative potential of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular that have not registered a patent or utility model in the last three years.

As part of the programme, companies can receive a grant of up to 50% of the costs of a patent application (legal and official fees). A prior art search is mandatory at the beginning of the programme. On 20 and 21 November 2023, Serviva GmbH was once again represented at Europe’s largest IP trade fair in Munich, IP Service World 2023.

We were there with our new stand, which received a very positive response from all sides.

Dr Lars Zanzig and Dr Raphael Jung were at our stand, where they had the opportunity to maintain customer relations and make new contacts.

On March 9, 2006, Dr. Lars Zanzig and Dr. Raphael Jung founded Serviva GmbH, thus marking this year as the 15th anniversary of the company. The company’s initial focus on consulting services in the field of intellectual property management was quickly expanded to services in research, monitoring, as well as software distribution and integration. Since March 2020 the completely newly developed Version 4.0 of the patent search software solution PATselect can be ordered.

“Our goal was to provide a clear and intuitively usable tool for users who regularly search for patent information. Our solution offers substantial advantages in terms of handling compared to the free offer of the patent offices”, explains the managing director Dr. Raphael Jung.

PATselect 4.0 is a web-based search solution, with which the search results can be marked simply and stored individually. The software manufacturer Patrix® has announced the launch of Patricia 6.0. In addition to a desktop version, a browser version will be available to the user as an add-on. The desktop application provides new functions on top of the usual ones. The new browser application was developed with customer demands in mind and is characterized by a user-friendly interface, an improved design and time-saving functions.

Synchronized web and desktop releases

The 6.0 web browser application represents a valuable addition to the Patricia software, as it enables client users to access data in real-time through any computer or mobile devices with an internet connection. The two-factor authentification ensures a secure connection. Besides, when upgrading to Patricia 6.0, every customer will have the option to access their data via two user interfaces.

With the beginning of October the Serviva GmbH bundles support requests around the software product Patricia® (Patrix) at a central place. The customer hotline is primarily aimed at Serviva customers who need support with the use of their existing Patricia installation.

From the 5th to the 7th of June 2019, Serviva GmbH was once again present as an exhibitor at the Patinfo Ilmenau. With over 350 participants and 40 exhibitors, this year’s motto was “IP and AI – Wishful Thinking or Reality” and the event’s main objective was to shed some light on the influence of artificial intelligence on the field of intellectual property rights.

Not only did Serviva participate for the tenth time in a row at the Patinfo, but it also co-sponsored Thursday’s evening event. The Patinfo in Ilmenau gave us the chance to meet with our current clients and to create new business relationships.
